• Stairstep spelling is done by writing the spelling word and then underneath the word on the next line write the 1st letter of the word…on the next line write the 1st and 2nd letter …continue to add a letter on each line until the word is complete.

* Rainbow spelling is done with three different colored pencils or crayons.  You write the word in one color, choose another color and trace it, choose the last color and trace it.
